Rhodamine B is a synthetic dye used for coloring textiles, paper and ceramics. In addition, also often ingredients in food such as crackers, syrups, candy, cakes, lipsticks. The accumulation of the body can cause liver, kidney lymph damage. this study, modified carbon paste (EPK) electrode with molecularly imprinted polymers (glutamic acid) was developed determination rhodamine using potentiometric techniques. modification carried out by electro polymerization glutamic acid monomer from solution containing 3.0 mM 1.0 phosphate buffer pH 7 cyclic voltammetry technique 15 cycles potential range between -0.2 V - 1.8 scan rate 100 mV / sec. Measurements these electrodes have optimum performance at 4. Nerst factor 29.2 decade. measurement 10-5 M – 10-2 M. With detection limit which be measured 8.91 × 10-6 This has fairly good value accuracy precision, does not significant difference. when compared UV-Vis spectrophotometric method.
